PUT A GARDEN in the mail

post_carden_1

These are so cool! Inspired by pop-up books and papercutting these postcards turn into a real garden. Of course you do have to water it and make sure it has plenty of sunlight. Aimée from A Studio for Design created three versions of these little postcardens that are ready for you to send out into the world.

IVY LEAGUE STYLE for your pup

Old_School_Repp_Lead

I’m not one of those people who dresses their dog up in wacky outfits or puts bows in their hair. I do however change up Einstein’s leash and collar occasionally. Mascot is a dog supply brand with exceptional quality and great style that never disappoints. I currently have my eye on their Old School Rep Collection of leashes and collars. I just cant decide on the color!

REDESIGNING the clock

drop_clock

I’m so amazed when people just completely redesign the way we look at something. When you think clock you either see in your mind digital flashing numbers, or a circle with two or three long sticks that rotate around the circle. If you want to be different and extraordinary you need an Aspiral clock handmade by the designers Bespoke in London. These spiral based clocks contain a single ball that tells the time while the spiral encasement rotates throughout the day. It really is cool to watch, so jump over to their site and check out the video!

I’m a big fan of chair designs and though I haven’t had that spark of inspiration to design my own just yet I just finished the design of these coasters. There’s a little something in for everyone! You can pick up as set of 4 over at the peppersprouts shop.

SAYING GOODBYE to the ikea fira

fira_1

As of this month Ikea has discontinued those amazing little wood drawers called the Fira. If you have ever shopped at Ikea I can almost guarantee that you at one point you went home with one of these little, pain-in-the-ass-to-assemble mini drawers. There best thing about these little storage units is that the possibility for creativity is endless. I had one on my desk for years that I painted the same color as my wall. So if you happen to be in an Ikea this weekend and see one of these guys, pick one up for me!

Clockwise from top left: Wall mounted display shelf found on Ikeahacker,  Veer inspired Fira from chuise, A black and white decoupage  diddy from JamieOfAllTrades, and beautiful stained drawers from chanco20.

LOVE at first sight

Nuit Blanche from Spy Films on Vimeo.

This beautiful video, directed and filmed by Arev Manoukian, gave me a few little butterflies in my stomach. Reminds you that love, or even lust, is such a powerful emotion.

GOODBYE ICED COFFEE hello iced tea

tea_forte_1

I’m not a big fan of warm drinks, even in the winter. In the summer I drink way too much iced tea, and in the winter iced coffee is my daily staple. Even though we are only half way through February I’m pretty much sick of iced coffee already. I’ve had my eye on this awesome iced tea pitcher for some time now and think I may actually get it this week. Tea Forte makes these amazing pyramidal tea bags and their iced tea pitcher is a little work of art in itself. I think its time for a little taste of spring, even if there is still snow on the ground.
