GET YOUR LEGS ready for cold weather

I’m ordering a pair (or three) of these soy and organic cotton leggings from Bobelly. Seriously, these look the like most comfy leggings ever. And best of all they are custom made for you leg stems! Available in a variety of different colors, I dare you to not buy a few pairs to match every outfit you plan on wearing this winter. I see some very lazy sundays in my future, a cup of tea, a good book and some Bobelly Leggings.

WOOD-NT you love to have some of these

I love raw wood. So I’m pretty jealous of those of you in the UK because you wood (bad pun) be a fool to not order these blonde wood decorative logs from The Log Basket. Made from douglas FIr these wood logs would look amazing lining an unused fireplace, or sitting inside an unused shelf. Alas they are to heavy to make it over here to the states, but a girl can dream, or at least order one of their candle holders which are equally as beautiful.

GET ORGANIZED with moleskine

Every year I vow that I’m going to get organized. It lasts for about a month. But maybe this year the “Color-A-Month” Moleskine planner will help me get my act together. this may look bulky but you can take out each individual month and throw it in your bag so your not carrying around a brick of paper. I like the idea of having everything together but with a twist of color. I know it’s really not that different from a regular book planner, but I like the designer aspect of it, and it will look a look better sitting on the shelf than that ratty book you’ve been carrying around all year.

THE HOMEPORT LAMP lights up a room

Lighting is such an easy way to change a space. You don’t need a gallon of paint to turn a room into someplace new, sometimes a simple lamp spruce up a space and make it feel like new. The Roshni Light from the Homeport Collection is actually 3 lamps in one. You can hang it, use it as a table lamp, or even a floor lamp. This makes the Roshini lamp such a versatile piece of lighting, that if you get tired of it one space, there is sure to be someone where else in your home you can place it. I really like the rustic feel of the lamp design, it feels very raw but well designed, and I love the long edison lightbulb this lamp takes. The best part about this beautiful piece is it’s price point ($150). It’s nice to see a designer lamp without the designer price tag.

WOODLAND METAL HOOKS from anthropologie

I saw these last night and about had a conniption. These metal hooks are available individually in four different woodland creature designs: squirrel, deer, owl, and bird. These little hooks would be great in any room and would fit with almost any decor. Since things this cute tend to go very quickly at anthropologie you might want to head on over and pick up a small collection of these before it’s too late. But please, if you could save me one of each please! I’m waiting for my new debit card to arrive in the mail!

POP + SHORTY make nerds happy

Nerd jokes always make me smile. Even the occasional instance when someone has to explain it to me. This time however I needed no explanation, the smile came quite naturally. This t-shirt and button from Pop + Shorty pretty much sums up how I feel about Matt, my software engineering, down to earth, technical support to all my endeavors, boyfriend. He really does keep my life in order, in place, and as of last night all my typefaces consistent. Thanks Matt, I love you. But seriously, you should really check out the good fromĀ Pop + Shorty, they design style is clean and modern with a big hearty heaping of laughter.

CHIRP CHIRP can someone get the door

Check out this concept for a very modern doorbell by designer Lee Weilang. It feel like such a natural fit, it makes you wonder why no one thought of this before. The tail of the bird sits outside and works as the doorbell buzzer while the front if the bird hangs inside your home and provides a beautiful chirping sound instead of those awful doorbell sounds. While it’s just a concept for now, I would love to see this put into production.

FRESH PHOTOS for a beautiful monday

Loving these photos from a little shop called abby try again. Based in Portland, Oregon Abby takes wonderful photos and loves sharing them with the world. Taken mostly with vintage film cameras, the color in photos just make me so very happy. Take a look at her shop and read a little more about what makes her tick.

ANA BAGAYAN just stole my heart

Beautiful. Stunning. Woodsy. Adorable. Intricate. I could go on and on about the paintings and drawing of Ana Bagayan. When I first came across her work in print magazine my jaw hit the floor. The girls in her paintings are wide eyed dreamers and I can only assume Ana sees part of herself in them. With such raw artistic talent and the ability to tell such a complex story in one single pane, this is the stuff that dreamers are made of. If you happen to be in Seattle between now and Nov 7th, please stop by the Roq La Rue gallery and check out her critters exhibit, and then come back to tell me how amazing her work is up close.

CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING cheat sheet

Genius, beautifully illustrated and highly functional. I LOVE these gift giving cheat sheets by illustrator Simon Cook. The look is vintage holiday, but the idea is simply modern. Say goodbye to sweaters that you could swim in, pants that look like highwaters, and colors you would never wear. Now you can print out these handy-dandy cheat sheets and give them to all your relatives, and of course vice-versa. Visit Simon’s Awesome blog to download the sheets in high-res for both guys and gals!
