Normally I like to feature one thing that I particularly like from a designer, but today I couldn’t pick just one. Caroline Dulko is off to a rocking start as far as I’m concerned. Her illustration style is varied but all of it makes me smile. Based in London, this 21 year old textile design student has some really stellar items for sale in her etsy shop. My personal favorite is her new record player pillows, which come in three different colors. Wait I take it back, my favorite is the Gentleman Tea-towel. Well… sort of. I got a little misty eyed thinking about all the wonderful things my relatives would write in these “Between Me and You” journals. I love the idea of sharing memories across generations and being able to look back at these books for years to come and think about how things used to be. Who really know what their grandmother wanted to be when she grew up, or what rockstar your mom used to have a crush on. I think these are really thoughtful gifts, that actually end up being a gift to the giver.
We’ve all done it. The last minute trip to the wine store so that we don’t show up empty handed at that last minute holiday party. I’m ordering a pair (or three) of these soy and organic cotton leggings from Bobelly. Seriously, these look the like most comfy leggings ever. And best of all they are custom made for you leg stems! Available in a variety of different colors, I dare you to not buy a few pairs to match every outfit you plan on wearing this winter. I see some very lazy sundays in my future, a cup of tea, a good book and some Bobelly Leggings.
I love raw wood. So I’m pretty jealous of those of you in the UK because you wood (bad pun) be a fool to not order these blonde wood decorative logs from The Log Basket. Made from douglas FIr these wood logs would look amazing lining an unused fireplace, or sitting inside an unused shelf. Alas they are to heavy to make it over here to the states, but a girl can dream, or at least order one of their candle holders which are equally as beautiful.
