CUSTOMIZABLE kid plates

Does your son love pizza? Or maybe your niece loves to play tennis. Check out these customizable plates from Alphabet plates. There are sport designs, favorite foods, or just a cartoon version of your favorite wee one. It’s such a simple process, just pick and choose your design and type in your little ones name. I would have loved these growing up.

CAROLINE DULKO makes me smile

Normally  I like to feature one thing that I particularly like from a designer, but today I couldn’t pick just one. Caroline Dulko is off to a rocking start as far as I’m concerned. Her illustration style is varied but all of it makes me smile. Based in London, this 21 year old textile design student has some really stellar items for sale in her etsy shop. My personal favorite is her new record player pillows, which come in three different colors. Wait I take it back, my favorite is the Gentleman Tea-towel. No hold that my real favorite is… Okay I love it all. Check out her shop here.

THE REVERSE baby book

Well… sort of. I got a little misty eyed thinking about all the wonderful things my relatives would write in these “Between Me and You” journals. I love the idea of sharing memories across generations and being able to look back at these books for years to come and think about how things used to be. Who really know what their grandmother wanted to be when she grew up, or what rockstar your mom used to have a crush on. I think these are really thoughtful gifts, that actually end up being a gift to the giver.

GIVE THE GIFT OF WINE and humor

We’ve all done it. The last minute trip to the wine store so that we don’t show up empty handed at that last minute holiday party. Well keep on doing it, but this year shake things up a little with a wine tag from Popptags. These letterpressed  gift tags are sure to put a smile on the face of any hostess and make your bottle or booze stand out from the crowd. I will definitely be getting  few of these for the holiday season.

STOCKING STUFFERS: night owl paper goods notebooks

This year we decided to get our holiday cards from night owl paper goods. I was on their site today picking out a few of my favorite designs and I saw these cute little notepads. There are so many cute designs to choose from, and the little reporter style books are only $8. These are sure to look great peeking out of the top of a stocking this year. If any of these design look familiar you may have seen them in your local Borders Bookstore. To see the full line check out the night owl paper goods online shop.
